FAQs

Q: What is the difference between a patient visit and a non-patient visit?
A: For those who are under the care of a Lyme literate health care professional and are interested in consulting with Dr. Lee, we offer a non-patient consultation option. Below are the criteria for each option. If you are still unsure what is appropriate for you, please fill out the New patient questionnaire (please see above).

New patient criteria
  • Currently living with Lyme disease (acute or chronic) and or related co-infection (patients with a history of Lyme disease is also acceptable)
  • Clinical diagnosis and/or laboratory tests that confirm Lyme disease and/or co-infections
  • Require protocols, lab test, intravenous therapy
Non patient consultation criteria
  • Currently under the supervision of an LLMD or LLND and has a protocol
  • Only requires consultation on a current protocol and does not need other medical support or therapies

Q: How often do I have to follow up if I become a patient?
A: We require you to follow up every 4-6 weeks.

Q: Can follow up appointments be on Skype or over the phone?
A: Yes, follow up appointments can be done over the phone or on Skype.

Q: Can the initial patient visit be done on Skype or over the phone?
A: No. If you become a patient an initial visit must be done in office. If this can not be done, please consider the non-patient option.
